October 2008

This has been such an amazing school year so far, and a busy one at that! Both the students and teachers have been doing so many new things this year that I can only imagine what the final outcome will be. Fourth grade is such an important year in terms of both academics and in preparation for the future, so please continue to work with your child to ensure that this year is a success.

New Happenings: Our class beat Mrs. Young’s class in the absentee competition, so let’s see if we can’t win again! Also, after grading the KCCT-like Assessments that were given before Fall Break, the number of students receiving 4’s keeps increasing…and I have no doubt that this will continue throughout the year!

Please Note: I have updated all of the subject area pages with information regarding what we have already covered, plus upcoming topics.

Important Dates:

Environmental Overnight Camp 10/21-10/22

Report Cards Go Home 10/23

4-H Leaf Projects Due 10/24
