MICHELLE RODGERS

NAMED

AMERICA'S JUNIOR MISS

Michelle Rodgers, member of GRC's Class of 2009, won the title of America's Junior Miss on June 27 in Mobile, Ala. Michelle was named Clark County Junior Miss last August, and Kentucky's Junior Miss in January. With the title, Michelle won $52,000 in scholarships.

Steve Crosby

Crosby named band director 

Winchester native Steve Crosby, former GRC Band member and longtime staff member, has been named director of the GRC Marching Band.

Principal Gordon Parido announced Crosby’s hiring Wednesday. “It is with great excitement that I announce Mr. Steve Crosby as GRC's new band director,” Parido said. “Our pool of applicants was outstanding but Steve's passion for this program and his experiences with every facet of the band program made him the best choice.  I look forward to our band reaching new heights.”

TRY-OUTS ANNOUNCED

Volleyball tryouts will be held July 15-17 beginning at 4 p.m. in the gym.

Boys' soccer tryouts will be held July 15 from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the GRC Track Field.
