Welcome back to the 2009-2010 school year! We have an exciting year planned in fourth grade and know that you will enjoy being back at Strode Station again this year. If this is your first year at Strode, we welcome you and don’t worry, you will make plenty of friends quickly. In fourth grade we switch classes. I teach math and science while Mrs. Campbell teaches the Language Arts. We both teach practical living and social studies to our homeroom class. Be sure to check out the websites on each of the curriculum pages on my website or the websites on the fourth grade webpage for Strode Station. Also, all the Math Investigation Parent Letters explaining each unit is listed on the fourth grade webpage as well as study guides for upcoming tests. I hope that you are as excited as I am to begin the new year. See you Thursday!!

It was great to meet all my students and parents that attended the Meet and Greet Open House on Monday night. School begins Thursday, and I know that all of you will be just as excited as I am to walk thru the doors of Strode Station that morning to begin another school year. Ms. Felts, our student teacher, will join us that morning and will be back to begin her student teaching later in the month. See you Thursday!!

I finally remembered this afternoon to update my home page. I will try to visit it at least once a week. I would love to post every night (and may try), but circumstances of work, meetings, etc. hinder that apiration. I will do the best I can. I have my class schedule and lesson plans on our homeroom page. I will try to post the lesson plans each week. The Leaf Project for 4 H directions went home yesterday. I know this is not due until the last of October, but don’t put it off until the last minute. The good leaves will be gone. Have a great three day weekend. I know I will have one camping with my husband.
