All fifth grade students in the Clark County School System will take a qualifying test for the Magnet and SOAR programs on Tuesday, February 28^th during the school day at the school that your child attends.

      Students absent on that date may make up the test at either Conkwright Middle on Wednesday, February 29^th 3:00-4:30 PM or at Clark Middle School on Thursday, March 1^st 3:00-4:30 PM.  The same test that is given at your child’s elementary school will be given at the middle schools.  Additional information may be obtained by calling or emailing the Conkwright Middle School Principal, Patrice Thompson, at 744-8433  (Patrice.thompson@clark.kyschools.us) and/or the Clark Middle School Principal, Pam Whitesides at  744-0427 (Pam.Whitesides@clark.kyschools.us).

• February 3 @ 8:00.  Special assembly for the entire school.  The “Earthman” will be here to talk about taking care of the earth, etc. 
• March 2nd.  Dr. Seuss Read Across America Day.   Students dress as their favorite book character.    Invite guest readers to your classroom to read to/with the students.   No school-wide assembly planned at this time.
•  March 9th – Ronald McDonald will be here to visit the school @ 1:30  “Reading Around the World” program
•  March 23rd – ‘MARCH Into the Future”  Reality Fair for 5th grade (maybe 4th) tentatively scheduled
