Subject: Emergency Homeless Shelter Supply Drive
Good Afternoon friends,
Clark County has received a grant for an Emergency overnight homeless shelter. Sad that we have this need but it is a reality and our community is blessed to have received a grant to meet this need. This is a 3 month pilot project that is scheduled to open January 15th. The grant will cover most of the operating expenses but they will need additional funding and supplies. I am doing a supply drive to help get them started…hope you will join me in helping those less fortunate. It would be great if everyone would start a supply drive at their offices.
Items needed: Blankets, Pillow, Towels, Hand Towels (new or used…preferably light colors, so they can be bleached). Toilet Paper, Paper Towels, Clorox, Laundry Detergent, Personal Hygiene Products & Individual wrapped snack foods
Drop off sites: Since the shelter is scheduled to open January 15th, I will be picking up from these locations this Friday 1/10 and delivering to the Shelter office.
· Winchester – Clark County Chamber Office
· Sheriff’s office (be sure to tell them items are for the Emergency homeless Shelter
· Shampoodle’s – 229 McClure Road – a drop off tote will be outside the salon door for drop off convenience.
If you have any questions or need to arrange for me to pick up items, please contact me.
Thanks in advance for your support in making a community great!
