This week the kindergarten students are reviewing all letters, letter sounds and sight words taught to this point.

First grade is working on spelling contractions.  Spelling words to follow.

1st Grade:

Spelling words: me, we, feed, keep, see, seat, beak, meat, main and day

Kindergarten will work on sight words little and said. The letter and sound for the week is the letter K. 

Activities that you can do at home would be when shopping or driving and look for the letter k, look for k in your pantry, make the letter k using play dough or trace it in salt or shaving cream.  Practice saying the sound for k and look for things that start with k in books or magazines.

Don’t forget Friday’s spelling test!

Don't forget this Friday February 10 is your child's Valentine Party.

First Grade Spelling 2 “Birthday Party” will be added to their “Browsing Bag” for use in their classroom and home. In Math they are working on greater than and less than, addition and subtraction.  They also have to explain how they got their answers.

K classes will continue to work on letter/letter sound production and the sight words /and/and / what/ .  The letters this week are /B/ and /L/.
