Friday, May 17th will be “Wear Sunglasses for Cystic Fibrosis” Day. Please donate $1.00 to be able to wear the sunglasses. Mrs. Strimple’s daughter will be coming to school tomorrow to talk with some of the students about Cystic Fibrosis.

Remember Board Policy states (see policy below) that all book bags, back packs, duffel bags, and other containers of similar size should be “see through” materials such as mesh or clear plastic. Beginning on Jan. 3, 2013 only these types of backpacks will be allowed.

Providence ranked 21st out of 733 elementary schools in Kentucky for their 2011 test scores. Students in the third grade last school year that scored proficient and/or distinguished on the test are Olivia Brooks, Hannah Bullock, Leslie Cunningham, Tyler Darby, Seth Deburlet, Trey Fulks, Claire Goff, Mason Goodin, Will Hazlett, McKenna Heflin, Chandler Howard, Emma Huntley, Emma Kubican, Tyler Lockhart, Caleb McIntosh, Hailey Paynter, Jack Preston, Adrianna Southard, Emily Southwood, Jonah Stanley, Shelby Summers, Elizabeth Vanover, Tanner Walton, Amanda Wood, Angela Wood, Ashlan Brookshire, Isaiah Daulton, Katherine Kennedy, Madalyn Meurer, Sam Neely, Brenna Rose, Jonathan Stefanski, Branden Vanderpool,Isaiah Daulton, Olivia Gullette, Kennedy Harrison, Jonah Stanley, Jaxson Davis, Chase English and Paiton Marcum.
